Commercial Charging Incentive 2020

Commercial Charging Incentive Summary

This program offers a financial incentive to businesses who install electric vehicle chargers for use by their fleet, employees, or customers.

Why does this program exist?
Electrifying transportation is an important part of Ashland's Climate and Energy Action Plan. Removing fossil fuels from our transportation infrastructure reduces climate-altering emissions, improves local air quality, and creates additional load for our locally-owned electric utility.

Business locations are a key area to support vehicle electrification. Workplaces may benefit by saving money through electrifying fleet vehicles, offering an additional benefit for employees, or as an amenity for customers. For more information about the benefits, please see this excellent resource on Workplace charging by our partners at Forth.

What incentives are available?
City of Ashland will reimburse $500-$1000 per charger installed, according to the table below. Incentives are available for new, Level 2 electric vehicle chargers. Equipment must be purchased and installed after 1/1/2020.
