The City of Ashland is an Entitlement Jurisdiction for the Community Development Block Grant Program. The city anticipates an annual allocation of $153,590 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Program Year 2017 (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018) from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
This document, the CDBG Action Plan for Program Year 2017, describes the project(s) that the City will undertake and the manner in which the project(s) are consistent with the priorities of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. Within this document is a table summarizing the projects to be funded with CDBG dollars in Program Year 2017.
The City Council has identified that a total of $23,038 in grant funds in the 2017 grant year is to be awarded to two projects: $16,126 to St. Vincent de Paul-Home Visitation Program for emergency rent and security deposit assistance and $6,912 to Maslow Project for outreach and case management for homeless youth enrolled in the Ashland School District.
The plan shall be available for review on July 7th and is available in hard copy at the Department of Community Development at 51 Winburn Way.
Public Comment on the 2017 CDBG Action Plan can be submitted any time prior to August 15, 2017 or be presented to the Ashland Housing and Human Services Commission at a public hearing on the plan on July 27th at 4:30pm at 51 Winburn Way.
