SAI Swim Lesson Level Information
StarBabies/StarTots (Age 6 months-3 years)
The purpose of this course is to foster TRUST AND COMFORT in the water for babies and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years old. A guardian or caregiver is required to be in the water with their swimmer to help build trust and comfort in the water as well as enforcing safe behavior in and around water. This course does not teach children to be accomplished swimmers or in-water survival skills. It will provide a confidence-building, fun, and loving experience to establish a foundation for future success in the water.
Preschool (Age 3-5 years) & Swim School (Age 5 years and up)
Students work toward development of the five core swimming competencies . The color stages are used to divide students into broad ability groups. Children progress at individual rates with the opportunity to learn the core swimming skills and progress to advanced strokes.
Please use the Stage Assignment Matrix to determine which color stage is right for your swimmer. For any questions please e-mail email@example.com.
Stroke School (Age 7 and up)
Swimmers that have completed the Green Stage of Swim School or successfully test into Stroke School will refine competitive swim strokes including Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke. For any questions or to schedule a swim test please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
