2010 Community Development Block Grant Program
Annual Action Plan Available for Review
The City of Ashland anticipates an annual allocation of approximately $207,781 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Program Year 2010 (July 1, 2010-June 30-2011) by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following the recommendation of the Housing Commission, the City Council has identified that at total of $168,484 in available grant funds, which are comprised of the current years allocation and include $2,370 in carryover funds from the prior year, is to be awarded to three projects: $30,000 to St. Vincent de Paul-Home Visitation Program for emergency rental and utility assistance, $110,861 to Ashland Supportive Housing Respite Home Rehabilitation, for the rehabilitation of a home to be used as a respite center, and the remaining unrequested balance of $27,623, to be made available to the Public Works Department to complete needed ADA improvements in yet To Be Determined locations throughout the City.
This document, the CDBG Action Plan for Program Year 2010, describes the project(s) that the City will undertake and the manner in which the project(s) are consistent with the priorities of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. Public Comment on the 2010 CDBG Action Plan can be submitted anytime prior to May 26, 2010 or be presented to the Ashland Housing Commission at a public hearing on the draft plan on April 22nd at 4:30pm at
