How to Read Your Meter:

 

The meter measures water use in cubic feet (cf).  You read the meter from left to right. To convert cubic feet to gallons simply take the usage number and multiply it by 7.48.

(eg. 2047 cf x 7.48 gal/cf = 15,311.56 gallons

First reading number is from the prior month 
This number is found under Water next to Residential 3/4"  

On example bill, 50259 is prior month meter read number.

 

The second reading number is the current month.

On example bill, 51380 is current month meter read number.

The Total Usage is the third number listed for the present month 

On example bill, 1,121 is usage for the billing period.

 

To determine usage from the last billing cycle to current, use 51380 on example.  Read your meter.  Subtract the 51380 from your meter number to get the amount of cubic feet used currently.
