CDBG 2008 Action Plan

2008 Community Development Block Grant Program

Annual Action Plan Available for Review

The City of Ashland anticipates an annual allocation of approximately $204,812 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Program Year 2008 (July1, 2008-June 30-2009) by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following the recommendation of the Housing Commission, the City Council has identified that $10,000 of this amount is to be awarded to the Fair Housing Council of Oregon to promote fair housing education and enforcement. The remaining CDBG funds, including prior year carryover funds, were designated to be applied to a yet identified project such as the purchase of property in support of the creation of affordable housing, the rehabilitation and preservation of affordable housing, and or the installation of public facilities in support of an affordable housing development.

This document, the CDBG Action Plan for Program Year 2008, describes the project(s) that the City will undertake and the manner in which the project(s) are consistent with the priorities of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The plan shall be available for review on April 15th and is available via the City’s website by clicking on the pdf file at the bottom of this page.  Additionally you may obtain a hard copy of the document  at the Department of Community Development at 51 Winburn Way.
