Emergency Severe Weather Shelter Opening Saturday, February 11

The City Manager has declared a severe weather emergency and has authorized the opening of an emergency shelter beginning Saturday evening, February 11, through the morning of Sunday, February 12.

The shelter will reopen on Monday evening, February 13, and remain open through the morning of Friday, February 17. The shelter may be open beyond the 17th depending on the weather conditions. Updates will be provided on the City website. 

Severe weather shelter hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m
. at 48 Fifth Street. The doors will close for the night at 9 p.m. with lights out at 10 p.m. This is a no-frills shelter, which means individuals should plan on providing their own bedding. Well behaved pets are welcome.
