Emergency Severe Weather Shelter Open Jan 19 - 23

Ashland Public Library The City manager has declared a severe weather emergency and has authorized the opening of an emergency shelter beginning Thursday evening, January 19, to Monday morning, January 23, 2023.

The severe weather shelter will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. at the Ashland Public Library, located at 410 Siskiyou Blvd, downstairs in the Gresham room. Dinner will not be provided on Thursday and Friday nights, a community meal will be available at Pioneer Hall at 4 p.m. on both nights. (Dinner will be available at the shelter Saturday and Sunday evenings.)

The doors will close for the night at 9 p.m. with lights out at 10 p.m. This is a no-frills shelter, which means individuals should plan on providing their own bedding. Only service animals are allowed in the Public Library.
