Ashland Forest Resiliency (AFR) partners invite you to join a prescribed fire forum this evening at 5:00 pm for a deeper understanding of how using prescribed fire helps reduce summer fire risk in our community and municipal watershed, along with new tools that help us prioritize our work and respond to wildfires more effectively.
AFR partners will share the purpose and benefits of proactive burning, an overview of accomplishments during the past decade, describe new science used for strategic fire planning, give an overview of priority burns this season, discuss why you may smell smoke at times, and how to protect yourself when smoke is in the air. And, we want to hear what you're thinking!
