Controlled Burning Tomorrow: Bull Gap Recreation Area

Tuesday November 9th, Rogue River-Siksiyou National Forest is managing a controlled burn on behalf of the Ashland Forest Resiliency in the Bull Gap recreation area. Smoke is expected to impact USFS 2080 and 2080-200 roads along with Corp Camp, Lower Bull Gap and Missing Links Trails. Check weather and smoke on the watershed camera. Please see alternative recreation routes here.

You Are Invited: Ashland Forest Resiliency (AFR) partners invite you to join a webinar on Wednesday, November 10th at 5:00 pm for a deeper understanding of how using prescribed fire helps reduce summer fire risk in our community and municipal watershed, along with new tools that help us prioritize our work and respond to wildfires more effectively.

Click here for a video about proactive fire planning to learn how a little smoke from controlled burning is helping make our forests healthier and our community safer in the face of increasingly hot and dry summers.

Our Smokewise Ashland site has all the resources you need to stay healthy when smoke is in the air. Also, learn where AFR Partners will conduct burns in 2021-2022 on the controlled burn map

Please sign up for our burn alerts, particularly for smoke sensitive people who need to take precautions.
