UPDATE: 9:00 AM -- Interstate 5, southbound at MP 15.5 is now open following a crash that closed southbound lanes.
Interstate 5 in the southbound direction is closed at Exit 19 due to a crash at mile post 15.5. Southbound traffic is being detoured through Ashland. Expect a possible lengthy closure for the Oregon State Police to investigate the crash. Ashland residents should expect heavier than normal traffic on Oregon 99 through town until the closure is lifted by the Oregon State Police.
