Small Watershed Fire Extinguished Update

A Nixle alert was sent out on Sunday, August 1 informing the community of a small fire in the upper watershed. The fire was not a threat to the town and was being suppressed by the US Forest Service. 

The US Forest Service was able to line and contain the fire and eventually put the fire out. The final size was one-tenth of an acre. Another Nixle alert was sent out on Monday, August 2 letting the community know the fire was put out.
