Wagner Creek Road - Controlled Burn Planned on Tuesday, January 5th

Lomakatsi Restoration Project will manage a controlled burn  5 miles up Wagner Creek Road on Tuesday, January 5th. The controlled burn operation to remove piles is planned for 8:30 am and will end around 2:00 pm. This property is high elevation and north of Panther Peak. About 30 acres of a 92 acre project is planned for tomorrow and fire crews will continue to work off Wagner Creek Road throughout the week when conditions are good. 
 
Potential Smoke Impact:
  • Residents in upper Wagner Creek could experience some smoke in the evening
  • Smoke will be visible from Talent, parts of Ashland and Interstate 5.
