COVID-19 Business Resources

With the recent closures and significant local economic impacts to many of our local businesses, the City of Ashland and the Ashland Chamber of Commerce have focused their long-standing local economic development program partnership on business assistance and recovery.

The Chamber has utilized their existing relationships with State and Federal agencies and elected officials to develop an economic recovery pipeline with a simple objective:  Do everything and anything possible to successfully prepare and connect our local businesses with financial assistance from State and Federal programs as soon as they become available.
“The Ashland Chamber is in constant communication with legislators and community partners to navigate resources to support local small businesses. This is an unprecedented occurrence and we are devoting our entire organizational effort to this crisis.” According to Sandra Slattery, Executive Director of the Chamber.

Chamber staff are gathering all available resources to assist businesses and through communication with legislators are recommending policies that support businesses immediately. The Chamber website www.ashlandchamber.com is the clearinghouse for information about how the community can support local businesses at this time. This includes what businesses are offering delivery, take-out, curbside service, how to purchase gift certificates and other important local business information, as it is available to the Chamber.

As a member of the Business Recovery Network recently created by Governor Brown’s Regional Solutions Office, a team of Chamber, City and State officials to provide direct and timely information to businesses on breaking news and opportunities to access critical assistance programs.

“Putting this structure in place in this critical time for our community is an essential first step in supporting all of our businesses impacted by recent events. Whether you are a Chamber member or not, this economic recovery pipeline is ready to go thanks to our forward-thinking Chamber leadership” stated Adam Hanks, Assistant City Administrator.

Please contact Dana Preston, Business Development Manager at members@ashlandchamber.com to be added to the database to receive Chamber communication and go to their website to find ways you can support our local businesses.
