Good news! RVTD has begun operating a new service within Ashland called the Ashland Connector to make getting you where you need to go even easier!
The Ashland Connector is a micro-transit model service in which multiple people use the same vehicle to arrive at similar destinations. Transit drivers have an iPad that will show the shortest route for taking passengers to their individual drop off location. Vehicles are Ashland Connector branded and ADA compliant.
Service is available Monday through Saturday in Ashland from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Transit will not operate this service on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Rides on the Ashland Connector will be $2.00 each way, $1.00 for qualified seniors 62+, veterans, disabled riders, and youth 10-17. Children under the age of 9 ride for free with a paying adult. Fare can be paid on board the vehicle using exact change or your Touchpass card. All rides include a free transfer to RVTD’s fixed-route service.
Pick up and drop off points must be inside the Ashland city limits. Busier destinations may require that you take a short walk to a specific meetup point. All rides can be booked through the Rogue Valley Connector app and tracked in real time. If a rider does not have a smartphone, trips may be booked by calling RVTD’s Ashland Connector booking agents.
