Forest Lands Commission Hike and Tour on June 8th

Come join City of Ashland Forest Lands Commissioners on a hike to the recently acquired Acid Castles property. We will discuss fire history in the immediate area and in the Ashland watershed, which is on full view. We will also talk about management of the property for wildfire safety and sustainability. Meet 9:00 a.m. at the gate at Hitt Road, just above the intersection with Strawberry Lane. It's an easy to moderate trail hike, appropriate for a wide range of ages. Please park on Hitt Road or on Birdsong Lane where there is trail access to Hitt Road (you will have to walk down the road just a little bit to the gate).
