Two Controlled Burns Planned for Monday, December 17th

After today's rain, two controlled burns are planned for Monday. The first is two miles up Yank Gulch Road outside Talent, and the second is below Bull Gap, high in the Ashland Watershed.  Smoke will be visible outside Talent during the day tomorrow and homes close to the burn may smell smoke. If you live in the area around Yank Gulch, please take precautions for smoke by closing doors and windows. The second controlled burn is planned off U.S. Forest Service Road 2080 near Bull Gap, Upper Eastview, and Corp Camp trails. The Yank Gulch area may be impacted by smoke during the day.

See www.smokewiseashland.org to learn more about protecting yourself during periods of smoke.

See ashlandwatershed.org for more information about controlled burns and to sign up for burn notifications.
