ODOT to perform night paving on Oregon 99 (Rapp Road to Ashland City Limits) on May 30-31, 2018

Night paving May 30-31, 2018 on Oregon 99 (from Ashland City Limits to Rapp Road)

TALENT — Two nights of paving are planned on Oregon 99 from south of Talent to the Ashland city limits. The work is part of a $5.4 million highway improvement project designed to enhance safety and livability along Oregon 99 from Talent south to Ashland.

Expect possible short delays along Oregon 99 from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31.

Prime contractor Knife River Materials broke ground late last month, starting off by excavating new storm water drains and crossings on Oregon 99 between Rapp Road and Creel Road.

ODOT inspectors will be on site daily to monitor traffic control, road conditions and keep business access signed and open.

“This improvement has been on Talent’s wish list for some time,” said ODOT Area Manager Art Anderson. “The enhancement project will provide a safer roadway for residents and business customers as well as those who are driving, riding or walking the corridor.”

RVTD’s Ashland Route 10 bus stops along Oregon 99 will remain open and, generally, unaffected during the construction work.
