Controlled Burn off Wagner Creek Road

Update 2/14/2018
Crews with Lomakatsi Restoration Project have a controlled burn planned off Wagner Creek Road between Ashland and Talent communities.  The 10 acre controlled will have ignition on Thursday, February 15, 2018.  Smoke could be visible near Jackson Wellspring and from Interstate 5.

We had to cancel the burn planned for Valentine's Day due to a lack of moisture.  Controlled burns can only be conducted if weather conditions permit. Rain received through today has improved conditions.

Workers from Lomakatsi Restoration Project will be staffing the burns and keeping an eye on smoke all day. Thank you for your tolerance of this critical work to improve fire safety in our community.

The map below shows the controlled burn in relation to Talent and Ashland.
