Construction Alert at Oak Knoll Golf Course

APRC crews will be working on the Oak Knoll Golf Course to repair/replace the drain line across fairways #2, #3 and #5. The work will begin on #5 (near Hwy 66) and move uphill toward #2. Crews will excavate the line, replace the drain and install sod (not seed). The estimated completion date is Tuesday, October 17.

Why is This Necessary?

The existing drain field no longer functions properly. Over the years, the drain has become clogged and crushed, causing water to pool in the middle of the fairways. During the extremely wet winter of 2016-2017 this problem became extremely apparent.

What Does This Mean For Golfers?

There will be no interruption in play; however, it will be necessary for APRC to set up temporary tee locations on the affected holes. Signage will be in place to guide patrons around the construction and toward the temporary tees. While crews should be out of the way, golfers are asked to please make every effort to play around construction work and ensure a safe golf environment.
