New Playground Equipment at Hunter Park

APRC is pleased to announce the installation of new playground equipment at Hunter Park, 1699 Homes Avenues in Ashland. The equipment was purchased from a local manufacturer and distributor, Playcraft Systems. This handicap accessible playground includes:

  • Toddler Park (Ages 2 to 12)
  • (2) Bear Swing Riders
  • Arch Swing with Play Share
  • (2) Picnic Tables (one that is handicap accessible)
  • Stand-n-Spin
  • Forest Service Truck
The cost for the equipment and installation was $65,000. Hunter Park, approximately ten acres in size, is located between Walker and Normal streets. In addition to the new playground, the park features:
  • (8) Tennis Courts
  • Ballfields
  • Picnic Areas
  • Restrooms
  • Daniel Meyer Swimming Pool (an outdoor, seasonal pool)
  • Ashland Senior Center (AshlandSeniorCenter.org)
