ACTION ITEMS
ACTION ITEM #1: Commission Vacancy
Bill Stevens, a member of the Mountain Ranch HOA Board is interested in the commission and will be attending the March 15 meeting. Chris will remind Diana at the city council meeting next week to announce that there is a vacancy. Get this on the council agenda and bring this to Barbara's agenda. Steve Asher will come to a meeting. Judith McBride was contacted and Alison followed up with an email. Tim may not stay on the commission but will hang on to the Evac and CWPP Groups. Marie Donovan was contacted and does not have the time but will forward it on to her real estate friends. It is important to maintain the depth of conversation and continuity. Tracy will follow up with Steve Asher. (Greg Williams of Carols Colors?). Follow Up: How do we extend a commissioner’s term?

Wildfire Mitigation Ordinance
Mayor proposed a red dot Doreen dot program for identifying every home in Ashland over a 7 year period. This would be publicized with a clarification that a red dot may be passed over in a fire because. Mayor would work on grants and loans. Include plant list considerations but would include exceptions. Required for remodels, separate from the 7 year timeline. By starting with red dot green dot there would be self-motivation to clean up their property. Making this public would also help self-motivate. Colorado Springs has a web based platform. Private and public inspectors. The remodel thing would take into account the ordinance as written. Are there insurance implications to this? This could be a student. CPAW is coming to the February 21st meeting.
