Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m.

Watershed Art
Pam Marsh and Susan Springer presented a concept and phases of a new project called Watershed Art.  The project proposes to engage local artists, educators and scientists to help the larger community understand and connect with the watershed.  In addition, the project will reinforce the role of arts and artists as a catalyst in the community.  The goal is to create a high profile, long term commitment to the visual arts community by combining elements of art and the natural world.

Approval of minutes
Motion to approve minutes of March 21 and April 8 (Friend/Bussell), approved with corrections.

Review of Gateway Submissions
Members of the commission express a yes, maybe or no statement for each of the Gateway submissions: the commission reached a consensus of NO statements for 37 submissions and one YES statement for 1 submission.

The members will continue their review at a special meeting on Monday, April 28 at 3:30 pm in the Siskiyou Room.

Meeting adjourned at 10:00 am.
