September 5, 2013
CALL TO ORDER –Ashland Tree Commission meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. on August 8, 2013, in the Siskiyou Room in the Community Development and Engineering Services Building located at 51 Winburn Way, Ashland, Oregon.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Schmidt motioned, Roland seconded the approval of the August 8, 2013 regular meeting minutes.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Maria Harris, Planning Manager, spoke to the minor changes to the Tree Protection Chapter, 18.61, as part of the Unified Land Use Code revision she has been working on. Harris presented the commission with a packet indicating the proposed changes, including updating irrigation standards, and asked for feedback regarding any changes that should be made. The Commission felt that the changes presented were clear and sensible, and thanked Ms. Harris for presenting the Commission with the opportunity to comment.
Piña reminded the commission of the two Public Meeting trainings in September and October.
