Utility Box Update

Action: Based on the discussion today, the PAC will move forward on a grant application due in September to the JCCC to fund a project titled “Reflections of Ashland: Utility Box Beautification Project: Phase 1  M/S Wilkerson/Bussell

Approximately 5 or 6 boxes have been identified by the electrical department as: appropriate: for the Phase 1 project.  A few more boxes will be identified.  It is the hope of the PAC to give artist involved in this project a small stipend.  It was suggested that some of the grant money be used to pay a professional painter to prep and prime the boxes.

Downtown Task Force

Action: The PAC would like for Ann Seltzer to follow-up with Bill Molnar to ensure that there is language included in the final report made by the Downtown Task Force that exempts public art from the sign code.  M/S Wilkerson/Longshore

Bussell is a member of the Downtown Task Force and requested that public art be exempt from the sign code.
