Chair Markell called meeting to order at 8:20 a.m.

Minutes of 12/15/06 approved Rickbone/Bussell

City of Ashland code enforcement officer, Adam Hanks explained the sign code ordinance to the commission.  Murals are not permitted.  It may be possible to secure a conditional use permit (CUP) for a mural if it can be illustrated that the mural furthers the purpose of public art.  Request for the CUP goes to the Planning Commission.

Seltzer gave an update about the commission appreciation event scheduled for March 12 from 4 þu 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Grove.  Discussion on a gift to contribute to the drawing.  Markell will contact Taste of Ashland to ask for a contribution and also offered a piece of her own art as a gift as did Bussell.

Master Plan Update:

Corissa reported that she delivered questionnaires to the library and numerous galleries in Ashland.  PAC needs to print more copies for distribution.

Next master plan committee meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan 31 at Markell¡¯s house.
