Chair Markell called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m.  Minutes of 9/17/06 approved M/S Rickbone/Gay

Gay introduced Cynthia Sherr.  Sherr was invited to speak to the PAC about his skills and experience as a facilitator.  The PAC is looking for a skilled facilitator for the master planning public meetings.  Sherr spoke about her skills and experience and noted that the prep work prior to gathering public comment is the most time consuming and critical.  Sherr was invited to submit a proposal to the PAC.  She is unsure about her availability in February.  Sherr left the meeting at 9:00 a.m.

PAC voted to allow allow the Master Planning sub committee to make a decision on the facilitator they would like to engage.  M/S Longshore/Bussell.

Discussion of Council Committee questionnaire (see attached)

PAC discussed the questionnaire from the council sub committee and collectively agreed to the responses.

Master Planning

Markell and Wilkerson gave a brief update on the recent sub committee meetings.  Next meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 27.

New Business

Markell is donating a large piece of art by artist Laddie John Dill to the city.  It measures 3 x 4 feet and made of glass and cement on a wood frame.  She circulated photos of his work which is shown all over the world.  It is an indoor piece and PAC discussed an appropriate place to display the work.  They agreed that they would have to see the piece before recommending a location.
