PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION

SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES

ATTENDANCE

Present: Commissioners Amarotico, Eggers, Gardiner, Lewis, Rosenthal; Director Robertson; Superintendent Gies; Superintendent Teige

Absent: None

CALL TO ORDER

Chair Gardiner called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Parks office, 340 S. Pioneer Street.

CONCESSIONS IN LITHIA PARK

Commissioners reviewed the memo from Director Robertson outlining the terms of the lease agreement for Lithia Park concessions, which include:

Length of lease: 18 months
Monthly lease cost: $1,525
At the conclusion of the 18-month period, the agreement can be extended by mutual agreement of both parties
The City Attorney has reviewed the contract
Staff recommends entering into the agreement

After a brief discussion, during which the commissioners asked clarifying questions about the proposed lease agreement, the Chair called for a motion.

MOTION Commissioner Lewis moved to enter into an 18-month lease agreement for park concessions. Commissioner Rosenthal seconded.

The vote was: Amarotico, Gardiner, Lewis, Rosenthal – yes; Eggers – no

ADJOURNMENT – By consensus, with no further business, Chair Gardiner adjourned the meeting.
