Discussion
Jim Young brought final plans for the Guanajuato stairway project and gave a narrative of the history thus far. An area around a drain on the Granite Street level was identified as a potential area to install a tile work, possibly by an artist or group of artists from Guanajuato. It was evident that with the call for bids going out, a temporary solution to landscaping that area should be considered by contractors and that we needed to create some sort of request to the effect of including such temporary solutions in the bids.
Also discussed were ideas regarding the possible connections needed between Ashland and Guanajuato in order to establish clear communication as to the expectations of such a project.
Kate will work on identifying proper liaison channels. Richard will bring this concept of a tile work to focus in the sub-committee. Bruce will work on elements of policy dealing with selection panel and creating a prospectus.
