Approved minutes of June 18

1) Policies and procedures draft: Bayard requested commissioners review draft in current form and submit notes and questions to him for inclusion and/or clarification.

2) Current projects: discussion about the shrubs planted in the central circular area of the "gateway island." Does City Council need to be asked to replant those with a ground cover that would not be missed when replaced by possible art installation? Discussion about when and how to acquire public input about that possible artwork. Is there information in Boulevard developement plans about public's ideas for art?

Actions: Bayard to ask Jackson about best approach to Council re: early removal of trees.

3) Funding and Murals discussion tabled.

Guest Debbie Lorray expressed interest in Briscoe school to be used for art center. It was suggested she contact Demele.

Bayard suggested formalizing committees at next meeting and see if we could begin to move towards once a month regular meetings with committees meeting inbetween.
