Update: We are getting some much needed snow in the valley today and all burns are canceled.
Controlled burning went well Wednesday and Ashland Forest Resiliency Project crews will continue burning on Thursday at two locations. One burn will take place on upper Tolman Creek Road/2080 on federal land in the AFR project. The burn will be located just a quarter mile before the Eastview Trailhead on the way to Four Corners. Eastview Trail and the 2080 road will likely be impacted by smoke, but no roads or trails will be closed. This pile burn will be 70 acres.
The other burn will be located in the 9000 block of Wagner Creek Road on private property for 9 acres.
