Council Meeting Outcomes October 15th

Consent
Council approved the Planning Staff and the Planning Commission to initiate amendments to the Land Use Ordinance addressing the applicability of the public space (plaza) requirements as part of large scale building proposals within the Downtown Design Standards Overlay area. Council approved the Mayor signing a letter of support for the Department of Land Conservation and Development grant application to undertake a comprehensive public involvement process concurrent with adoption of land use standards to promote the development of needed housing within Ashland’s residential zones.For more information click here.

Unfinished Biz
Council approved Staff’s recommendation to move forward with option #4 which will make all necessary seismic improvements, rebuild the interior of City Hall and to have Staff bring back phase 2 of the design contract. Council also directed Staff to look into what it would be like to do a complete rebuild of the site as a 2 story level. For more information click here.

Council approved a professional services contract with GEI Consultants for preliminary engineering of dam safety improvements in the amount of $299,684. For more information click here.

Council approved a Resolution to terminate the Waterline Road Local Improvement District.  For more information click here.
