Join Ashland Senior Services Division as we present, “Disaster Preparedness for Seniors.” This

 FREE presentation will take place on Wednesday, June 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ashland Senior Center at 1699 Homes Ave. Pre-registration is required. Register via email at SeniorInfo@ashland.or.us or call the Senior Center at 541.488.5342. 
 
The City of Ashland Community Preparedness Coordinator, Terri Eubanks, will present on how to be prepared for a local disaster and what to do when disaster strikes. Terri will be joined by Connie Saldaña, who is the Senior Services Planner with Rogue Valley Council of Governments (RVCOG). Connie will help participants sign up for the RVCOG Disaster Registry. The Registry enables emergency services to locate people who need special assistance during a disaster or evacuation.
 
Ashland Senior Services Division staff will be available to help people sign up for Nixle, the City of Ashland’s Community Alert System, and the Jackson County Citizen Alert program, both of which are key ways to stay informed about potential disasters.
