Two Pile Burns Planned for Friday, February 15th - Above Strawberry Lane and Wagner Creek Road
On Friday, Feb. 15th Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners will conduct two controlled burns.
The first burn is above Strawberry Lane and adjacent to Acid Castle Rocks on Hitt Road. Please avoid the Hitt Road trail due to workers on the trail and smoke. Though conditions are predicted for smoke to move away from town, homes in adjacent areas may smell smoke during the day and evening. Please keep windows shut and follow recommendations on the Smokewise Ashland website to protect your health.
A second burn is located above Talent off Wagner Creek Road between Ashland and Talent. Smoke may be visible from Highway 99 and I-5. We do not anticipate any impacts from this burn.
