Klamathon Fire at 80% Containment: No New Growth Expected

Klamathon Update
Now new growth is expected for the Klamathon Fire.  Crews have held the containment lines and the fire remained at 36,500 since Monday.  The City of Ashland would like to commend all the fire professionals who helped with response to the Klamathon Fire.  

Cooperating Agencies: California Department of Transportation, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Highway Patrol, California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services, Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon State Police, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, United States Forest Service Klamath National Forest, United States Forest Service Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, US Bureau of Land Management Redding District, US Bureau of Land Management Medford District, Red Cross, National Weather Service, California Conservation Corps., CA National Guard, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

Fire Restrictions
Fire danger remains "HIGH" (YELLOW)  for the Rogue Valley.  See the Oregon Department of Forestry Southwest Oregon District's fire restrictions.
