OFFICER WILLIAMS SERVICE TO BE HELD SATURDAY MARCH 17TH

News Release from Ashland Police Dept.
Posted: March 12th, 2018 3:32 PM

The memorial service for Ashland Officer Malcus Williams will be held this Saturday, March 17, at Ashland high school located at 201 S Mountain Ave. The start time is 11:00 a.m. and the public is invited to attend. In the case of the gymnasium reaching capacity overflow will be in the high school theater.

The service will be preceded by a law enforcement procession that will wind through the streets of Ashland ending at the high school. The public is encouraged to stand on the route to show their support for Officer Williams' family, who will be riding in the procession. This procession will disrupt local traffic for a period of time. Details of the route and times will be released mid week. Media will be given detailed instructions on where to park and a schedule of the planned events.

We are requesting that all media reports include a link to the site where all donations to the Williams family should be directed, that site is "OregonFallenBadge.com". Alternatively, if someone wants to donate in person they can go to any US Bank and donate money to the "Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation Malcus Williams" account. 100% of the donations given at these two locations will be given to the Williams family.

A media phone number (541-375-0776), to contact the PIO for the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation has been established expressly for questions regarding the celebration of life service for Officer Williams. Any questions about the Ashland Police Department should be directed to the Ashland PD PIO through their regular channels.
