Summer Wildfire Smoke and Your Health

SW
Summer Wildfire Smoke Over Ashland Watershed
The Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners released a webpage dedicated to providing the resources and information needed to protect your health during summer wildfires. The web page will tell you where to get the air quality information and how to take action.

In an interview with Ashland Daily Tidings, Forest Division Chief Chris Chambers explained more about why we have wildfire smoke in town from fires that are miles away . With a changing climate on the horizon, partners are working toward solutions to help reduce the fire danger and resulting thick summer smoke here in the Ashland Watershed. All the smoke poses a serious health hazard to citizens, visitors and performers with OSF.
