PROCLAMATION

•	The international Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) is a nonprofit, professional organization that has been an advocate and resource for local government attorneys since 1935; and
•	Five years ago the IMLA Board of Directors accepted a proposal presented by its Oregon members to hold the 2006 IMLA annual meeting in Oregon; and
•	The IMLA annual meeting has been held in a variety of cities throughout North America and was last held in Oregon in 1946; and
•	The Ashland City Attorney has participated as a member of IMLA for many years and the City of Ashland wants to acknowledge the 2006 IMLA annual meeting.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, John W. Morrison, Mayor of Ashland, do hereby proclaim that the Mayor and City Council of Ashland are honored that Oregon is hosting the

2006 International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) Annual Meeting

from September 17-20, 2006 and cordially welcome all IMLA members and their families to Oregon.
