Background: The City of Ashland is a member of the National League of Cities. The annual meeting for the National League of Cities will be held from December 6 - 10, 2005 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Under the Bylaws of the National League of Cities, the City of Ashland will be entitled to cast one vote at the Annual Business Meeting, held on December 10. Voting by proxy is not permitted. During mid-November, the National League of Cities will mail a special edition summarizing proposed National Municipal Policy amendments and proposed resolutions, which will be voted on at the annual meeting. |
