The Parks and Open Space map was originally created in 1989 to identify potential park lands. Since that time the City of Ashland has been active in purchasing new lands, as well as having received significant land donations for the use as parks and openspace. In 2001-2002 the Parks Commission completed an update of the Open Space Plan. The attached map is the result of the effort of the Commission and countless citizens to project Ashland's park needs for the years to come. The Open Space Plan map was adopted by the City Council in July of 2002.
