Statement: Rogue Valley Public Television (RVTV) provides government and public access services for the City of Ashland and citizens. The City of Ashland collects PEG (Public Education and Government) fees from Charter Communications and Ashland Fiber Network for the purchase and the maintenance of the equipment for RVTV. PEG fees total approximately $54,000 annually depending on the number of subscribers. In addition, the city gives RVTV a portion of franchise fees, no greater than $50,000 per year, collected from those two entities to provide television services. |
