Statement:
The FY 2005-06 adopted budget provides for the replacement of a 1985 Braun ambulance with a new unit. Ashland Municipal Code 2.50, Section 2.50.060, (A.), requires the City Council, acting as the Local Contract Review Board, to approve contract awards in excess of $75,000.

Background:

The sole bidder was Hughes Fire Equipment for $ 170,451.00.
