| Synopsis: |
ACH is seeking approval from the council for an addition
to the hospital facility for ten private inpatient rooms in the Medical/Surgical
Unit. The Facilities Lease between the City and Ashland Community Healthcare
Services requires approval by the city prior to altering the exterior of
the hospital. |
| Recommendation: |
Staff recommends the council approve the request
and authorize ACH to apply for the necessary planning and building
approvals. |
| Fiscal Impact: |
None. |
| Background: |
ACH is required by the Facilities Lease to obtain
approval of the city for any additions to the hospital, which exceeds $100,000
or which alter the exterior walls of the facility. A copy of a Preliminary
Site plan is attached, although the project still requires planning and building
review and approval. Per the lease all of the capital improvements become
a part of the real property, which is owned by the city. |
