Synopsis: Attached is a chart that outlines a 5-year history of the City's Investment Portfolio balance beginning with period ending June 30, 2000 through period ending June 30, 2004.

In addition, attached you will find a complete report on investments for the period ending July 31, 2004.
Recommendation: No action required. Information purposes only.
Fiscal Impact: None.
Background: The City adopted a revised Investment Policy in 1998. This policy was reviewed and approved by both the Oregon State Short Term Board and the Municipal's Treasurer's Association.

It is the policy of the City of Ashland to invest public funds in a manner which will provide the highest investment return with the maximum security while meeting the daily cash flow demands of the entity and conforming to all state and local statutes governing the investment of public funds.
