RESOLUTION NO. 2004-____
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR
MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005.
RECITALS:

The wage adjustment for four City Labor unions is established in the
amount of 3%. The fifth union adjustment is established at 2% based on
contractual agreement tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). |

The budget for Fiscal year 2004/2005 anticipates a 3% adjustment for
all management, and confidential employee classifications. |

It is the desire of the City to maintain its management and confidential
pay plan at a level commensurate with other jurisdictions to enhance recruitment
and retention in these key positions. It is also important to maintain salary
differentials and avoid compression between represented employees and the
supervisory/management staff. |
THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The overall pay schedule is hereby modified
by 3% for Management and Mid-Management Supervisory employees, and 3.5% for
confidential employees effective July 1, 2004.
SECTION 2. The salary of the Municipal Judge and the
City Recorder shall be adjusted by 3.359%, which is the weighted average
of the adjustments made for Department Heads and Supervisors as set forth
in the City Charter.
SECTION 3. This resolution takes effect upon signing
by the Mayor.
