A total of 400 telephone interviews were completed with Ashland residents for both the 1998 survey, the 2000 survey and the 2003 survey. The interviews took place from the office of Lockwood Reasearch (formally Scudder & Associates Research) in November of 1998 and 2000 and in October 2003. This sample size ensures a 95% confidence level with a margin of error no greater than ± 5%. This means that if the survey were replicated using the same methodology, 95 times out of 100 you would get the same percentages within a range of ± 5%.
