AN ORDINANCE CREATING A PROHIBITION AGAINST PUBLIC NUDITY

THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Annotated to show deletions and additions to the code sections being modified. Deletions are lined through and additions are in bold.

SECTION 1. A new section 10.44.012 of the Ashland Municipal Code is adopted to read:

10.44.012  Public Nudity. It is unlawful for any person to expose his or her genitalia while in a public place or place visible from a public place, if the public place is open or available to persons of the opposite sex. This provision is not intended to apply to a person who is prepubescent or who has taken steps to create an envelope of privacy upon their own property and the nudity occurs within that envelope.
