The City of Ashland partnered with Nixle two years ago to implement its Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories. Residents already “opted-in” to the Jackson County Citizen Alert System will still get regional messages, but have to sign up with Nixle directly for City of Ashland specific messaging like street closures, evacuations, or power outages.
Sign up by texting 97520 to 888777 or via ashland.or.us/nixle
. The website also shows you how to manage your notifications.
Did you know your City has an app? The MyAshland app can be found in the App Store or on Google Play.
The app allows you to report an issue directly to the City, check out news, calendar, and agenda items, and links to our main social media pages.
City Source Newsletter
The City Source gets delivered to every resident with a utility account either via mail or email. You can also view current and past City Source newsletters by going to ashland.or.us/citysource
If you would like to get the City Source straight to your inbox, sign up for emails on City news (see above for instructions) as the newsletter is posted online the first business day of each month.
