| Synopsis: |
The State of Oregon, Department of Environmental Quality
(DEQ) is proposing changes to regulations regarding the Medford-Ashland Air
Quality Maintenance Area. Councilor Laws is a member of the local air quality
advisory committee that has been reviewing the proposed changes and has requested
that a discussion of the proposed changes be placed on the agenda. A Resolution
for consideration is attached. |

Attached is a memorandum from the State of Oregon, Department of
Environmental Quality dated November 12, 2003. The memorandum provides background
information regarding the proposed changes to requirements for new and expanding
