Current Volunteer Needs at N MT Park...

  • Flyer Poster - Help with posting flyers on Mondays to about 5 locations in Ashland.

  • Gardeners - Help in the Demonstration Gardens at North Mountain Park.  No green thumb needed!  Anyone can help during the growing season as a Drop-in Gardener. The Adopt-A-Garden program involves committing to care for a small garden area.  New volunteers are also welcome to join the Heirloom Garden Committee, which meets monthly and works to maintain the garden in front of the Nature Center.

  • Adopt the Lower Plant Loop trail - Take care of the plants along the Lower Plant Loop by weeding around them.  Also help to keep the plant signs clean and straight and the brochure box stocked with plant lists (and free of insects). Summer and Fall.  No experience necessary.

  • Riparian Restoration Work Party, North Mountain Park. Thursdays 9am-11am (Spring-Fall)
Join us to remove invasive species, plant native plants, and care for North Mountain Park. This group meets weekly, and cares for different areas of the park each week. Tools, refreshments, and training provided. Join the email list to be notified of schedule changes and work sites ahead of time.

  • Student Projects - A variety of student project opportunities are available depending upon the season.  Make a difference with your CAP-stone or internship.  Contact us to discuss options.
